Acadamia’s Learn-n-Earn Program We at Acadamia.net feel that rewarding the student provides a pretty good incentive for them to complete our courses. This incentive based program helps motivate children attending schools identified as "In Need of Improvement" under the No Child Left Behind act of 2001. Under this law, the federal government pays for children to receive high quality tutoring services such as Acadamia.net. Some states or districts have questionably banned or limited the value of incentives. We typically provide refurbished or new laptop computers as a reward to diligent students who complete the tutorial. Who Qualifies for Acadamia.net? In order to qualify, you must have at least one child attending a Title I school that has been identified as in need of improvement for three consecutive years and your child or children must be on the free or reduced lunch program. To find out if you qualify, you may either call us or call your school district. What Will My Child Receive? Upon completion of the minimum number of online sessions, your child will receive one of the following: A refurbished laptop computer (for in-home computer installations) with all the most desired bells and whistles (ie Windows XP operating system, WiFi) A new laptop computer (for classroom tutoring) with a little more bells and whistles (ie wireless Internet, webcam, Windows 7 operating system)
